Baylor added a very serviceable piece to its program Sunday, as former Mississippi State guard Mario Kegler has decided to transfer to the Bears, Kegler announced via Twitter.
Kegler averaged 9.7 points and 5.5 rebounds on 42 percent shooting through 28.2 minutes per game as a freshman for the Bulldogs last season, finishing third in team scoring.
The former four-star recruit and No. 47 overall recruit on the ESPN 100 for the 2016 class will have to sit out next season as per NCAA transfer regulations, but will give Baylor significant backcourt depth in 2018-19.
