Andres Nocioni announced his retirement from basketball Friday following Real Madrid's loss to Valencia in the ACB Finals.

Nocioni, 37, had been playing for Real since 2014. He last suited up in the NBA in 2012 for the Philadelphia 76ers, but enjoyed the best years of his career with the Chicago Bulls from 2004-09.

A member of Argentina's "Golden Generation" of basketball players which finished first in the 2004 Olympics, Nocioni averaged 10.5 points in 514 NBA games. He will now wait to see if his countryman Manu Ginobili chooses to retire as well.
