Offensive tackle and top-50 prospect Jaelyn Duncan bolstered D.J. Durkin's recruiting class in a big way Thursday night, announcing his commitment to his home-state school, Maryland.

The Terrapins beat out Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, and numerous other schools to secure the Baltimore native. Duncan, ranked fifth among offensive tackles and 45th overall on the ESPN 300, is listed at a hefty 6-foot-5 and 302 pounds.

Duncan is the third member of the ESPN 300 to pledge to Maryland for 2018. Durkin, meanwhile, continues to quietly stockpile talent as he prepares for his second campaign as head coach in College Park. He finished the 2017 recruiting cycle with a bang, going home with five ESPN 300 recruits, an impressive number given Maryland's position in the Big Ten over the last several years.
