Famed television and radio host Larry King is a notable baseball junkie who adores the Los Angeles Dodgers, but it appears he may have to shift his allegiances to Chicago's South Side.

On Wednesday, the Chicago White Sox drafted King's son, Chance, 1,167th overall in the 39th round of the MLB entry draft.

The younger King is an 18-year-old right-handed pitcher out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., who stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 190 pounds.

"He loves closing," Larry King recently told Waddle and Silvy on ESPN 1000, according to Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune. "He loves coming in late. He likes to be on the spot. ... I don't know what he's going to do. He's got a couple of college offers, but it's up to him. He's 18. He's a great kid. I'm very proud of him."
