Even with lingering health concerns, Golden State Warriors general manager Bob Myers fully expects Steve Kerr to coach the team as it mounts its title defense next season, ESPN's Chris Haynes reports.

"There's no doubt in my mind that he will return as the coach of this team," said Myers. "I'm confident we'll have him back. Steve will be our coach."

Kerr was unable to coach 11 games this postseason and 43 games at the start of the 2015-16 season due to a cerebrospinal fluid leak, complications that arose in relation to back surgery he underwent in summer 2015.

If Kerr were to step away from coaching after his three-year stint in the Bay Area, he would do so with .841 regular-season and .758 postseason winning percentages. Both marks are currently the all-time records in NBA history.
