The Canadian Open will celebrate Canada's 150th anniversary of Confederation this summer at Glen Abbey Golf Club by turning the par-3 seventh hole into a hockey-themed fan experience.

"We're very excited to bring The Rink to life," RBC Canadian Open Tournament Director Brent McLaughlin said in a statement. "We wanted to create an experience that oozed Canadiana. We know Canadians love hockey, and of course they love golf too. Combining rinks and links was a no-brainer."

Hockey boards will replace the gallery rope on the par 3, while the hole will also feature a Zamboni, rink-side grandstands, and viewing decks.

The Canadian Open begins July 27 in Oakville, Ont.
