Bonucci denies talk of Juventus exit

Leonardo Bonucci has no time for reports linking him with a move to Chelsea.

"Me leaving Juventus? It's only chatter," the Juventus defender told Italian newspaper La Stampa.

After the Bianconeri's humiliating 4-1 defeat to Real Madrid in last weekend's Champions League final, rumours of an exit from Juventus intensified.

beIN Sports' Tancredi Palmeri said Friday that Chelsea will submit an offer around €60 million-€65 million for the player in the next few days. However, reputable sources in either England or Italy have yet to corroborate any concrete interest from Antonio Conte's side or Manchester City, whose manager, Pep Guardiola, once hailed Bonucci as his favourite player.

The Telegraph's James Ducker reported in April that the Old Lady has no intention of selling Bonucci without a fight, indicating that it would require a record transfer fee for a defender to complete a deal.

Paris Saint Germain's acquisition of David Luiz in 2014 for a reported £50 million (€62.8 million) is the most ever paid for a player in that position.

Of course, Conte managed Bonucci during three successful Serie A seasons at Juventus.

Bonucci - who signed a new contract with Juventus in December that runs until 2021 - said following the chastening in Cardiff that he "still has pride in being part of this group."
