4-star PG Jamie Lewis commits to NC State

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Kevin Keatts landed his first big-time player as NC State head coach, as four-star point guard Jamie Lewis announced his commitment to the Wolfpack, as per ESPN's Jeff Borzello.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder is ranked the 10th-best point guard in the country for the class of 2018, and is listed as the 45th overall prospect on the ESPN 60.

Lewis was also considering Baylor, Georgia Tech, and Wake Forest before ultimately deciding on NC State. While he won't join the Wolfpack until the 2018-19 season, Lewis will be a natural replacement for freshman star Dennis Smith Jr. who jumped to the NBA after one spectacular season on campus.
