Report: Jets, Decker to part ways

The New York Jets will part ways with wide receiver Eric Decker imminently, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Decker is expected to be traded or released within the week.

The 30-year-old recorded nine receptions for 194 yards and two touchdowns in three games last season, before being placed on season-ending injured reserve with a shoulder ailment.

Decker signed a five-year, $36.2-million contract in March 2014 and was expected to be a pillar of the team's passing game.

New York appears to be undergoing a drastic rebuild, releasing veterans Brandon Marshall, Darrelle Revis, Nick Folk, Marcus Gilchrist, Breno Giacomini, and Nick Mangold, among others this summer.

Decker is two years removed from a season when he recorded 80 receptions for 1,027 yards and 12 touchdowns. He could resurface this season for another club on a team-friendly deal.
