Kings waive Anthony Tolliver

The Sacramento Kings have waived power forward Anthony Tolliver, the team announced Thursday.

Sacramento could save more than $7 million against the 2017-18 salary cap as a result of the move, according to The Vertical's Bobby Marks.

The move comes at an unfortunate time for Tolliver, who celebrated his 32nd birthday Thursday.

Tolliver signed a two-year, $16-million deal with the Kings last summer. The nine-year veteran is coming off of a solid season with Sacramento, averaging 7.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.2 assists on 44.2 percent shooting from the field and 39.1 percent from distance.

Tolliver should draw plenty of interest from teams looking to add a cheap stretch-four to their roster.
