Cavaliers end Warriors' undefeated playoff run with 3-point barrage

There will be no fo-fo-fo-fo for the Golden State Warriors.

The Cleveland Cavaliers used an inspiring shooting performance in Game 4 to hand the Warriors their first loss of the postseason. Cleveland's 137-116 win also doubled as the Warriors' first loss in 61 days.

Old ghosts came back to haunt the Warriors as they simply had no answers for Kyrie Irving and LeBron James. Irving led all scorers with 40 points, while James poured in his ninth Finals triple-double with 31 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists.

The Cavaliers also used a torrid 3-point barrage - making 24-of-45 from deep - to set Finals records for most points in a quarter and in a half, before settling down for the final two frames.

Otherwise, it was a physical affair that featured plenty of questionable officiating and an overabundance of illegal play. Referees John Goble, Mike Callahan, and Marc Davis failed to control the game, thus creating a hostile environment that included a curious unejection, a nutshot, and seven technical fouls.

The Finals series is now 3-1 in favor of the Warriors, just the same as last summer.
