One of the top scorers in the Belgian First Division A is closing in on a move to Arsenal.

Nigerian striker Henry Onyekuru is on the verge of becoming the Gunners' first signing after the Premier League club agreed to pay a £6.8-million transfer fee to KAS Eupen, according to Kaveh Solhekol of Sky Sports.

Personal terms are all that's left to be agreed upon to complete the transfer, as Arsenal has yet to begin negotiations with the 19-year-old's representatives, but, according to Solhekol, a deal is expected to be reached relatively quickly as Onyekuru is understood to be an "avid" supporter of the Premier League club.

Onyekuru, who reportedly rejected interest from Belgian rivals Club Brugge and Anderlecht, has also attracted interest from Everton, Southampton, West Ham, and West Brom.

Interest in the teenage forward comes on the heels of a season in which he finished in a tie for first in the league scoring race with 22 goals.

Confirmation of his reported arrival in north London could come after his time with the national team, as Nigeria plays a friendly against Togo on Thursday.
