Arsenal will take another shot at trying to convince Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil to sign new contracts this summer as the duo enters the final 12 months of their current deals.

The north London side will attempt to persuade Sanchez and Ozil to extend their careers beyond 2018 by making them the highest paid players in club history, according to Jeremy Wilson of The Telegraph.

It's believed that Arsenal is willing to offer them contracts that will see them each earn £280,000 a week.

Of the two, Sanchez has attracted the most interest, with teams such as Manchester City, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, and Juventus reportedly interested in procuring the Chilean's services.

According to Wilson, Arsenal is confident that Sanchez's satisfaction with life at the club will help it find a resolution and will offer him a two-year contract to extend his career in north London until 2020. Yet Arsenal is said to be prepared to sell both players if it's unable to sign them to an extension in order to avoid a scenario where they depart on a free transfer.

It's understood that their future will be a topic of discussion during a board meeting Tuesday, which will also include discussions and a possible resolution concerning Arsene Wenger as Arsenal manager.

There have been suggestions that Ozil's future is tied to Wenger's, but the Germany international said his decision does not hinge on the fate of the manager.
