Actors, athletes, icons appear on Indy 500 red carpet
Every year, an abundance of well-known figures make appearances at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the Indy 500.
This year was no different.
Actor Jake Gyllenhaal and Boston Marathon bombing survivor Jeff Bauman teamed up to wave the green flag to get the race underway on Sunday.
Gyllenhaal will portray Bauman in the 2017 film "Stronger."
Joining them on the red carpet before the race were many familiar faces from the worlds of sports, music, and cinema.
