Vikings GM: Bridgewater not yet cleared to practice

Minnesota Vikings general manager Rick Spielman clarified Wednesday that Teddy Bridgewater has yet to be cleared for practice, according to Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press, despite the team releasing a video the day prior showing the quarterback throwing passes at OTAs.

It was Bridgewater's first action since the devastating knee injury sustained during last year's training camp. Spielman said the 24-year-old is still "very limited" in what he can do on the field, according to 1500 ESPN.

Spielman added that Bridgewater won't be at practice Wednesday due to a scheduled rehab appointment, according to Tomasson.

The GM also refused, once again, to lay out a timetable for the young pivot's return.

"I’m not going to get into updates every day on whether he’s ahead or behind schedule," said Spielman, according to Tomasson.

The Vikings have been consistent in their message that they won't pressure Bridgewater with a return date until later in his rehab.
