Athletics' Jesse Hahn: Dealing with triceps strain
Hahn was diagnosed with a right triceps strain Tuesday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Analysis:
The right-hander was pulled after two-plus innings against the Marlins after his fastball velocity had dropped to 90 miles per hour. He threw 51 pitches (33 strikes) and allowed five earned runs on seven hits prior to his exit. Slusser adds that Jharel Cotton could be called up as a spot starter if Hahn is unable to make his next turn in the rotation.
