Report: 3 Michigan State players found to have violated school policy

Mike Carter-USA TODAY Sports

The Title IX investigation into an alleged sexual on-campus assault has found three Michigan State players violated school policy, an attorney for the alleged victim told Kyle Austin of MLive.com.

The investigation stems from a complaint about the three unnamed players from a Jan. 16 incident at an on-campus housing site. Privacy laws protect the details and the names of those involved in the report.

With the findings, the case will now go to school administrators to review it against the student conduct policy, and levy sanctions ranging from a warning to expulsion.

Michigan State has also launched a separate investigation into the handling of the incident by the football staff.
