Tennessee lands grad transfer scoring machine James Daniel

Tennessee added a massive scoring threat on Monday as Howard graduate transfer James Daniel told Jeff Goodman of ESPN that he's committed to play for the Volunteers next season.

The 6-foot guard led the country in scoring in 2015-16 at a whopping 27.1 points per game, but missed the majority of last season due to injury.

In his three full seasons with the Bison, Daniel never averaged less than 16 points per game. He's a relentless rim-attacker that will immediately make Rick Barnes' offense formidable in the SEC next season.

With leading scorer Robert Hubbs III lost to graduation, Daniel will immediately be one of the focal points of the offense for the Volunteers, and should post some gaudy numbers in the SEC.
