Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang pulled ahead of Robert Lewandowski of Bayern Munich on the final day of the season to capture his first Bundesliga scoring title.

The Gabon international converted a penalty during a 4-3 win over Werder Bremen with two minutes remaining to give him 31 goals on the season - a mark that beats Lewandowski's 30, as the Polish forward was unable to find the back of the net during Bayern's win over Freiburg.

Aubameyang, who entered that day one goal back, pulled level with Lewandowski in the first half with a superb volley. They became the first duo in Bundesliga history to reach 30 goals in the same season.

Along with securing the scoring title, Aubameyang's 89th-minute strike ensured an automatic berth for Borussia Dortmund in next season's Champions League, after Thomas Tuchel's men leapfrogged Hoffenheim on match day 34.
