Former Boise State standout Paris Austin is heading home, as the Oakland native announced Tuesday he's transferring to Cal.

The 6-foot guard had a breakout campaign in his second season with the Broncos, scoring 12.3 points per contest with 3.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists.

As per NCAA transfer regulations, Austin will be forced to sit out next season before becoming eligible in 2018-19 with two years left to participate for the Golden Bears.

While he won't be able to play next season, his commitment is still a huge get for new Cal coach Wyking Jones, who's attempting to rebuild the program following Cuonzo Martin's departure to Missouri.
