Watch: Oosthuizen jumps to 3rd with monster 34-foot eagle putt

Michael Madrid-USA TODAY Sports

Entering play on Sunday just one stroke back of the lead, many pundits picked Louis Oosthuizen to be the man holding the trophy at the end of THE PLAYERS Championship.

Unfortunately for the South African, a front nine score of 38 dropped him four shots off the lead heading to the par-5 11th, but he would halve that deficit with just one hole of magic.

After smacking an iron 229 yards to the green, Oosthuizen drilled a monster 34-foot eagle putt, taking him to even-par for the round and 8-under for the championship.
