Colorado State suspends Braylin Scott following burglary, theft charges

Troy Babbitt-USA TODAY Sports

Colorado State safety Braylin Scott was arrested Wednesday by campus police on felony burglary and theft charges, according to Kelly Lyell of The Coloradoan.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred April 11, with an arrest warrant being issued May 2, according to Lyell, citing court records.

Rams head coach Mike Bobo released a statement Thursday clarifying that he's aware of the issue involving Scott, and that he has been suspended from all team activities.

"We have been monitoring the situation involving Braylin Scott since first becoming aware of it at the time of the incident," Bobo said through a school spokesman. "I was concerned enough about the details I had learned that I made the decision to suspend him from all team activities at that time, based on preliminary information. He remains suspended from the program, and we will continue to monitor the legal proceedings."

Scott recorded 39 tackles and three interceptions over the course of 10 games as a sophomore for the Rams last season.
