Paris Austin enjoyed a successful campaign with Boise State last season, but it appears the sophomore may be eyeing greener pastures.
The 6-foot guard was reportedly granted his release from the program Thursday, meaning he's free to contemplate a transfer to another school, according to Michael Katz of The Idaho Statesman.
In 28.5 minutes, Austin averaged 12.3 points to go along with 3.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists on a team that finished third in the Mountain West Conference with a 20-12 overall record.
Austin will be forced to sit out next season should he decide to transfer, although a player of his caliber with two seasons of eligibility remaining could be a very attractive addition to programs looking for backcourt help.
