Texas' Locke out 4-6 weeks following sports hernia surgery

Texas defensive back P.J. Locke will be sidelined four-to-six weeks, after he underwent a successful sports hernia surgery, the team announced Thursday.
Locke, who started nine games at nickleback as a sophomore, recorded 33 tackles with one sack and two interceptions last season. He's expected to assume an even greater role this year.
The Longhorns are slated to open the season Sept. 2 against Maryland. Locke should be fully healed by that point.
