Revere prepared for drug test after hitting 7th HR in 8 seasons
It doesn't happen often, but Ben Revere hit a home run on Tuesday and he's now prepared for the repercussions of his surprising power.
After he hit just his seventh home run in eight seasons off Oakland Athletics right-hander Jharel Cotton, the 29-year-old Revere joked he could be in line for a drug test.
"I’m a wimp," Revere said to Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times. "I’m not known for my home runs. I’m probably gonna get tested tomorrow. That’s usually how it goes."
Prior to his big knock Tuesday, Revere last went deep on July 20, 2016 against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
