Lowry won't play in Game 4 vs. Cavaliers due to ankle injury
The Toronto Raptors will have to try to stave off elimination without one of their leaders.
The team announced that Kyle Lowry will not suit up in Sunday's Game 4 against the Cleveland Cavaliers due to an ankle sprain that sidelined him for the previous contest.
The All-Star point guard indicated Saturday he was "probably doubtful" for the matchup due to the knock he suffered in Game 2. With the club down 3-0 in the East semifinals series and Lowry eligible to hit free agency this summer, it's possible he's already played his last game for Toronto.
The 31-year-old averaged a career-high 22.4 points on a true shooting percentage of 62.3 to go along with seven dimes, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.5 steals during the regular season, but was sidelined for a quarter of it.
Cory Joseph figures to replace Lowry in the starting lineup for the second consecutive game at Air Canada Centre. He had four points, six assists, and three rebounds in Friday's 115-94 loss.
With Lowry out, Lucas Nogueira has been activated.
