The ink is barely dry on Russell Westbrook's historic season and already the questions have begun about his future.

Westbrook is eligible for a hefty extension worth upwards of $200 million should the Oklahoma City Thunder make him an offer this summer. But with the 2016-17 season still fresh in his mind, Westbrook understandably hasn't had enough time to assess his future.

"Obviously, Oklahoma City is the place that I wanna be," Westbrook told Fred Katz of the Norman Transcript.

It's not just words from Westbrook, who has said on multiple occasions that he doesn't want to leave. OKC is the only franchise Westbrook has ever known since he was drafted fourth overall in 2008. He signed a five-year contract after his rookie deal was up, then tacked on another three seasons with an extension last summer.

However, Westbrook could opt for unrestricted free agency as early as 2018 should things go south. He pieced together an unforgettable campaign, averaging a triple-double. The Thunder, however, still fell to a gentleman's sweep at the hands of the Houston Rockets in the first round.
