3 players to watch this weekend at the Memorial

Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

Jason Dufner looks to be in complete control after 36 holes of the Memorial Tournament, but he's only at the halfway point. Here's three players Dufner will need to keep his eye on over the weekend at Muirfield Village.

Rickie Fowler (-8)

The world No. 12 was 3-over par after four holes on Thursday, but has gone 11-under in the last 31 holes of competition. Fowler is tied with Daniel Summerhays for the most birdies (14), is third in total strokes gained (9.639), produced just three bogeys, and has hit 80 percent of the greens.

Jordan Spieth (-6)

Spieth was a little erratic Friday, but he still managed to shoot an even-par 72, and sits in a tie for fourth place. The Texan is T-4 in total strokes gained this week (7.639), third in birdies (11), ranked second in third round (67.38), and second in fourth-round scoring (68.13) this season on tour.

Matt Kuchar (-5)

Kuchar continues to own Muirfield Village, recording the second most pars and second least bogeys after 36 holes. The 2013 Memorial champion is tied for seventh in total strokes gained (6.639), sits fifth in greens in regulation (75 percent), and has a 69.86 scoring average in his last 36 rounds at the event.
