Xavier's Trevon Bluiett arrested on misdemeanor possession charge

Michael Chow / The Arizona Republic

Xavier guard Trevon Bluiett was arrested in Carmel, Ind. on Monday afternoon and charged with one count of possession of marijuana, hash oil or hashish, according to Holly V. Hays of USA TODAY Sports, citing Hamilton County Jail records.

The possession charge is listed as a misdemeanor offense.

Bluiett, a junior this past season for the Musketeers, declared for the NBA draft on March 31, but chose not to hire an agent, therefore retaining his final year of eligibility for the time being. Bluiett is considered by some to be a late second-round prospect.

In his third season with Xavier, Bluiett averaged a career-best 18.5 points to go along with 5.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists.
