Watch: Luis Silva hits Tim Parker with snowball during MLS game
Sometimes, MLS can be a funny league to play in, a fact highlighted Saturday when Real Salt Lake hosted the Vancouver Whitecaps at a snow-covered Rio Tinto Stadium.
Streaking toward goal, RSL attacker Luis Silva was foiled by the defensive efforts of his opposite, Tim Parker, and rather than rue the missed chance passively, Silva opted to use the terrain to his advantage, quickly scooping up a snowball and chucking it at Parker.
Parker shrugged off the snowball but couldn't say the same of the game ball, which RSL put past the Whitecaps three times in an eventual 3-0 win.
