Oakley roasts Rodman for criticizing LeBron's rest: 'You wasn't a tough guy'

Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

Charles Oakley is siding with LeBron James over Dennis Rodman.

Rodman recently went on a profanity-laden rant about James for taking nights off during the regular season to stave off injuries and be fresh for the playoffs. The retired star cast the Cleveland Cavaliers icon in a negative light compared to Michael Jordan, Rodman's former Chicago Bulls teammate who he maintains "never rested."

Oakley wasn't having any of that, taking to social media Thursday night to support James and take some shots at Rodman.

It's worth noting that the New York Knicks legend clashed with Rodman during their playing days as well.

Still, it's not just former adversaries who've challenged the enigmatic 55-year-old's comments. Rodman's ex-teammate and current Golden State Warriors coach, Steve Kerr, said he found it funny that "The Worm" would be critical of healthy scratches, because he got plenty of rest over his 14-year Hall of Fame career due to suspensions and taking nights off whenever he wanted.
