Temple's Josh Brown: Granted medical redshirt
Brown (Achilles) was granted a medical redshirt by the NCAA on Tuesday, Marc Narducci of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Analysis:
Brown suffered a torn Achilles toward the end of his junior campaign and missed the first month of this past season. He got back on the floor for a five-game stretch in early December, but his surgically repaired Achilles began to cause him some discomfort, which ultimately led to him sitting out the remainder of the year. By gaining the medical hardship waiver, Brown will be able to return to the Owls next season. When healthy, Brown is effective player that started 32 games in the 2015-16 season.
