Undertaker leaves gear in ring at WrestleMania, signifying end of career

It doesn't look like the dead will ever rise again in World Wrestling Entertainment.

It was at WrestleMania 33 on Sunday night at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla., when The Undertaker suffered his second loss at the big event - this time to Roman Reigns - dropping the 52-year-old's historic record to 23-2.

As Reigns made his way to the back, Undertaker gathered his bearings, put his gear back on, and stood tall in front of 75,000-plus fans who were under the assumption that this could be the last time "The Phenom" would ever wrestle.

Increasing their fears was 'Taker, who removed his signature hat, coat, and MMA gloves, before placing them on the mat below - a common signal in the fighting world that a competitor is going to retire.

He went over to his wife, former WWE Diva Michelle McCool, kissed her, and walked back up toward the entrance.

About halfway up, Undertaker raised his fist high before sinking into the ramp, with the lights in the building going dark as his trademark gong echoed loudly.
