Bell claims he isn't joking about threat to sit out season
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell is a man of his word.
Bell tweeted that he'd rather sit out the entire 2017 season than play under the franchise tag, a threat that ordinarily would disrupt the entire NFL community.
The only problem is, Bell chose to voice his threat on April Fools' Day.
ppl can say literally whatever they wanna say...but idc, I will LITERALLY sit out the WHOLE YEAR before I decide to play on the tag!

Bell didn't seem amused that his first tweet was met with derision, and appeared to follow through on his earlier remark.
lol everybody think this a joke...ok 👌🏾

Both parties have until July 15 to reach a long-term extension, and Steelers personnel are likely hoping their star running back is merely displaying his sense of humor.
