Report: Xavier's Mack turns down $4M per year offer from Georgetown
Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports
Chris Mack wants another chance to make a run in the NCAA tournament with Xavier.
Georgetown was apparently interested in the Musketeers head coach and willing to offer $4 million per year but Mack wasn't interested, according to Jeff Goodman of ESPN.
Mack received a contract extension last year through the 2021-22 season from Xavier.
Despite the longevity of the deal, jumping to the Hoyas for that amount of money would be a significant raise from the $1.4 million Mack is making now. Perhaps, though, if Mack is able to have another strong season with the Musketeers next year, he will be in consideration for an even bigger job.
