Torres makes 1st appearance since suffering head injury
Fernando Torres returned to the pitch on Sunday, 17 days after being knocked unconscious during Atletico Madrid's 1-1 La Liga draw at Deportivo La Coruna.
Torres, who suffered a sickening head injury following an aerial clash with Alex Bergantinos, played for the first time since being released from hospital, as the Spanish forward replaced Kevin Gameiro in the 62nd minute of Atleti's La Liga fixture versus Sevilla at the Vicente Calderon.

A cervical MRI confirmed Torres didn't suffer alterations or traumatic injuries, and the 32-year-old was released from hospital the day after the dangerous on-field collision. He was named to Atleti's bench for the second leg of its tie against Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the Champions League's Round of 16, but went unused.
