The Edmonton Eskimos have signed star receiver Adarius Bowman to a contract extension that will keep him as a member of the Green and Gold through the 2018 campaign.
A nine-year CFL veteran, Bowman posted a league-high 1,761 receiving yards in 2016, along with nine touchdowns. Both figures established new career highs.
The Eskimos moved to lock him up after releasing the league's second-leading receiver, Derel Walker, so he could pursue an NFL opportunity.
Bowman has been named a CFL All-Star three years in a row. He's spent the last six seasons in Edmonton after splitting his first three between the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
