Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Gerald McCoy offered prayer and forgiveness to a 17-year-old who broke into his home and pulled a gun on his father.

Justin Frazier broke into McCoy's home last Thursday and was arrested by Tampa police shortly thereafter. Frazier was charged with armed burglary of an occupied dwelling, armed burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, grand theft, aggravated assault, and aggravated battery.

McCoy's father also suffered a broken wrist while ostensibly trying to stop Frazier, as the teenager left with an XBox One among other items.

"I would just ask that people pray for the kid who tried to break into my house," McCoy said to ESPN's Jenna Laine on Thursday.

McCoy also said that he may end up visiting Frazier, repeating that the assailant needs guidance.

"Maybe it was supposed to happen that way. Maybe he was supposed to break into my house ... I forgive him."
