Andy Fantuz etched his name in the Hamilton Tiger-Cats' record book Friday night against the Ottawa RedBlacks, registering his 99th catch of the season to break Darren Flutie's club record.
The 32-year-old Chatham, Ontario native broke the mark set by Flutie in 1998 with a fourth-quarter reception, his eighth of the contest. Fantuz also hit the 1,000-yard receiving mark for the 2016 campaign during the game, marking the second time in his career he's hit that number.
The 99 catches also mark the highest single-season total of his career, surpassing his previous mark of 87 with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2010.
