Athletes shouldn't be your heroes. People like Beth Battista should be.
Battista, a preschool teacher and Green Bay Packers fan in Wisconsin, appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Monday to tell her story of how she donated one of her kidneys to 4-year-old student Lyla Carreyn.
Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, a regular on the popular talk show, surprised Battista with a prerecorded message (starting at the 3:42 mark above) and an invitation for her and her family to attend a game at Lambeau Field on the sideline.
