John Farrell was busy battling the elements Thursday in the Bronx.
One day after his Red Sox locked up their second division title in four years, Farrell opted to rest several starters for the club's series finale against the New York Yankees, and one "fan" wanted to know why.
"John, why are we going with the 'B' team when the second seed is in jeopardy," asked the apparent Red Sox fan.
In response, Farrell, whose Red Sox lost 5-1 and are still fighting for home-field advantage, delivered the sharpest rip of the night.
"Why don't you shut your ass up?"
