Favre jokes about joining Cowboys: 'Can they promise I won't get hit?'
An injury to Kellen Moore suddenly has the Dallas Cowboys scrambling to find another backup for Tony Romo under center.
Brett Favre, anyone?
The 46-year-old is just days away from being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but with the media attention that accompanies the weekend festivities, the all-time great was at least jokingly asked about his interest.
"You know what? Being around, walking in (the) Hall and stuff, it kind of gives you an itch," Favre told NFL Network's "Good Morning Football" on Friday. "The only problem is I can't get hit. Can they promise I won't get hit?"
Funnily enough, the Cowboys' league-best offensive line makes them one of few teams that could even come close to providing the longtime Green Bay Packers signal-caller with such a favorable situation.
Favre, an 11-time Pro Bowler and three-time NFL MVP, will be enshrined Saturday night along with the rest of a star-studded 2016 class that includes Orlando Pace, Marvin Harrison, Tony Dungy, Kevin Greene, Ken Stabler, Eddie DeBartolo Jr., and Dick Stanfel.
