Steelers to wear black-on-black 'Color Rush' uniforms Christmas Day
The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced that they will be wearing their special "Color Rush" black-on-black uniforms for their Week 16 game against the Baltimore Ravens on Christmas Day.
The team had previously been scheduled to don its unique kit on Thanksgiving against the Indianapolis Colts.
"We will be wearing what is referred to as our 'color rush' uniform for the first time," Owner Art Rooney told Steelers Nation Radio, according to the team website. "I know in a few weeks we are going to be able to unveil exactly what that looks like. We haven’t had a home game on Christmas in my memory. It will be unique, special. This will add a little more excitement to what I am sure will be an exciting day."
While the official uniforms won't be unveiled for a few weeks, Bryan DeArdo of 247Sports.com recently made a mock design of what could be expected.
