Andrew Shapiro has to wait four more years before he can fulfill his dream of competing on "American Ninja Warrior," so the 17-year-old is biding his time by setting world pullup records.

Shapiro's world-record attempt began Saturday at 8 a.m. with the most pullups in a six-hour period, according to T. Rees Shapiro of the Washington Post. He broke that record, but decided to keep going, shattering both the 12-hour and 24-hour marks.

When all was said and done, Shapiro had completed 7,306 pullups. He credits "American Ninja Warrior," Star Wars, sushi, and pineapple for his success.
