Minnesota State to face Denver in Frozen Four championship

Minnesota State and Denver will square off in the 2022 Frozen Four championship game on April 9 after advancing through the semifinals Thursday.
The Mavericks blew out Minnesota with a 5-1 win, marking the first title game appearance in school history.
The Pioneers squeaked past Michigan in a 3-2 overtime thriller to punch their ticket. Denver has eight national titles to its name, the second most in Division I history, with its most recent championship coming in 2017.
Both Minnesota State and Denver entered the Frozen Four as No. 1 seeds from their respective conferences.
