The NCAA has denied Syracuse quarterback Terrel Hunt's appeal for a sixth year of eligibility, according to Sam Blum of The Daily Orange.

In late November, the NCAA denied Hunt's waiver request for a sixth season. The university then filed an appeal.

Hunt threw for 1,638 yards and 10 touchdowns as a redshirt sophomore in 2013, but only appeared in five games the following year after suffering a broken leg. He came back for the 2015 opener against Rhode Island, but missed the remainder of the season after suffering an Achilles injury in the first quarter.

Hunt finishes his college career with 2,621 passing yards, 11 touchdowns, and 13 picks.
