VIDEO: West Virginia's Gibson steamrolls Maryland cheerleader after TD

Saturday's game against West Virginia did not go well for Maryland. That's true whether you're a Terrapin on the field, or off of it.

The Mountaineers took a 38-0 lead in the first half, but that wasn't even the worst part of the day for Maryland - no, that came when an unfortunate cheerleader standing way behind the end zone got run over following a Shelton Gibson touchdown.

WVU receiver runs over UMD cheerleader.

Gibson's momentum on the 15-yard touchdown catch carried him a good 20 yards through the back of the end zone, surely surprising the cheerleader who never thought she'd get involved in the game action that far from the field.

Hopefully the cheerleader is OK, though the score of the game won't be making her feel any better.
