The Football Writers Association of America named its 75th anniversary team Thursday, with several notable names from years past gracing the list.

FWAA put together three different teams, and Nebraska led the way with six players on the list. Ohio State and Pittsburgh both had five.

"Picking the FWAA's 75th anniversary teams was like taking a final exam with no wrong answers," said 2015 FWAA president Lee Barfknecht of the Omaha World-Herald. "Even though some answers may be more 'right' than others, this will add to the colorful conversation about college football, honor those chosen, and help celebrate the game."

Roger Staubach, who won the 1963 Heisman Trophy at Navy, was the first-team quarterback, with former Florida pivot Tim Tebow making the second team.

Current NFLers Larry Fitzgerald, Ndamukong Suh, and Charles Woodson also cracked the first team. They were joined by notable names like Deion Sanders, Herschel Walker, Jerry Rice, and Archie Griffin on the first team.

Ed Reed, Champ Bailey, Brian Bosworth, Fred Biletnikoff, Barry Sanders, and Tony Dorsett highlight the second team, while Bo Jackson, Calvin Johnson, Reggie White, and Troy Polamalu represent the third team.
