Former five-star recruit Derrick Griffin could be suiting up for Texas A&M this season, according to Taylor Hamm of 247 Sports.

The wide receiver, who currently attends Texas Southern, may be eligible to transfer out of the Houston college immediately and play at a school of his choosing this fall, according to Hamm. He reportedly never signed a letter of intent at Texas Southern, instead enrolling as a normal student and filing for his own financial aid.

Since Griffin was never officially a part of the TSU football program, he can transfer and play immediately without being penalized. He would also have four years of eligibility left.

Miami, TCU, and Texas A&M - Griffin's first choice - have all been made aware of the situation, Hamm reported.
