Fresno State quarterback Jake Haener has withdrawn from the transfer portal a week after signaling his intention to leave the program, reports Matt Zenitz of On3.

Haener's apparent change of heart comes one day after the Bulldogs finalized a deal to reinstate Jeff Tedford as head coach. Haener was rumored to be eyeing a move back to Washington where he began his college career.

Haener threw for 3,810 yards with 32 touchdowns and nine interceptions in 2021. He ranked second in passing in the Mountain West Conference behind Nevada's Carson Strong.

The senior signal-caller has thrown for 46 touchdowns and 14 interceptions over his last two seasons at Fresno State. He'll have a marquee game against USC on the schedule in 2022.
